What’s your story?
My name is Ellie Hilscher, and I graduated from Drake University in May 2020 with a Bachelor’s in Digital Media Production and a Bachelor’s in History. My passion for videography and photography is closely tied to the outdoors, especially animal and horse show photography. In my free time, I compete in amateur hunter-jumper shows across Iowa. I have a deep passion for storytelling through multimedia, ranging from photography to graphic design to website development. I’ve had the opportunity to work with both non-profits and currently work at the Student Innovation Center at Iowa State University as a Multimedia Specialist II and Team Lead for the Digital Media Studio. For the 2024 Holiday Memory Maker I created the graphics and social media for The Student Innovation Center, specifically Instagram. This includes using Adobe Illustrator for my creations.
Student Innovation Center: EXCITE! 2024
For the 2024 EXCITE! start of the Fall Semester event I created graphics, the social media plan, and the media kit which involved creating an interactive PDF.
Hilscher Creative: Horse show photography
In my free time I enjoy horse show photography with my side business that I have been doing since 2021-2022. Prior to that I focused on portrait and wedding photography.
